“ A lovely village cafe which is so much more. The solid, high-quality menu is always accompanied by an offering of specials as well as a range of cakes, meaning that you always have the opportunity to have either a tried and tested favourite or something new. The food is always cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. Favourites have to include the Benny 22, mushrooms and stilton, and, of course, the cinnamon buns. ”
“ I have been wanting to try this place for ages and it exceeded expectations. A cheerful cosy atmosphere, and the food was just delicious. Highly highly recommend. The hardest part was deciding which treat to end the meal with! 5 years later.... Still the best restaurant I've been to. Vibe 5 stars, food 5 stars, staff 5 stars. X ”
“ Lovely food, excellent coffee, the cinnamon bun comes warmed up and is just excellent. Great service too! ”
“ Today me and my mate went to the cook in the nook and it did not dissapoint, they have some exceptional drinks and a delightful little menu. We had the lovely poppy catering to us on this fine day, she provided and incredible service with a massive smile on her face, she was cracking jokes the whole time and created a genuinely pleasant atmosphere and just in general a lovely experience all around, would hugely recommend. However the atmosphere was let down a tiny bit due to a rude customer, even with all of this poppy handled it incredibly well. ”
“ Genuinely one of the best breakfast spots in Leicestershire. The food is homemade or locally sourced and always delicious! Terry one of the owners and their team are always delightful. Very dog friendly in there too. The milkshakes and fresh bakes (especially cinnamon buns) are also incredible. Can't say a bad word about this place, love it here! ”
“ Lovely experience at this cute little cafe. Staff were all friendly and food was good. They even had dog menu which a little someone was very happy with ”
“ A lovely find. Had the Soup and Grilled Sandwich combo which was delicious and great portions. Also the turmeric and coconut latte was divine (add black pepper to activate the goodness of the tumeric) And we were made to feel very welcome too. Cheers ”
“ Delicious grilled sandwich. Homemade lemonade was amazing. Cakes incredible. Cute little cafe with lovely friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely come back when I'm in the area. ”
